In IGRT process we use an imaging to help us justify the position of the patient.
In installation of IGRT, we need an imaging acquirement system and a control treatement system. The imaging acquirement system provides tomography image of patient in the course of treatement. These currents images are compared with old images which was used for treatement planing by imaging registration. The position of patient is ajusted to new treatement. So the necessary information is transmited to control treatement system (cough system, robot system, radiation oncology system,...).
The IGRT is efficient in increasing of precision and accuration of treatment. One disavantages of IGRT is the increasement of treatment time. So, one of requirement for IGRT is to reduce the treatment time.
